Lloyd’s broker SSL Endeavour completes WorldLink Acquisition

SSL Endeavour (SSLE) has signed definitive documents for the acquisition of a controlling shareholding in WorldLink Holdings, a North-American specialty aviation brokerage and MGA.

SSLE, an Independent Lloyd’s Broker, is a specialist in the placement of Open Market and Delegated Authority business produced by direct clients and agents. It has a long history in the Marine insurance and North American delegated authority markets.

SSLE non-executive chairman Jonathan Palmer-Brown and group chief executive David Lawrence will join Worldlink’s chairman and joint chief executive Charles Engel and president and joint chief executive, Phil Gingell on the board of Worldlink Holdings.

The deal was first announced on August 20.

Lawrence said: “We are delighted to announce this investment in WorldLink, a business with unparalleled experience in the North American aviation insurance broking and risk advisory sector. We look forward to working closely with Charley, Phil and Chuck to drive the growth of the business both in the US and internationally as we add further capability to the team.”
