IFIG upgrades insurance fraud e-alerts with Verisk as threats continue to evolve
The Insurance Fraud Investigators Group (IFIG) has partnered with Verisk to upgrade its technology to include a cloud-based e-alerts platform to tackle the ever evolving problem of insurance fraud.
IFIG, the nonprofit fraud prevention and investigation organisation, serves a diverse membership, including major insurers, police forces, local authorities, and other specialist groups. Its new e-alerts platform has been developed as a replacement for the IFIG legacy system to connect all IFIG members for enhanced counter-fraud knowledge sharing and discussions.
With the new platform, members will be able to rapidly access the nonprofit group’s fraud database to improve insurance fraud detection, prevention, and investigations. The platform will also aid IFIG member collaboration when dealing with insurance fraud.
Database monitoring and administration have also been enhanced with granular reporting and improved data cleansing capabilities.
Steve Jackson, chairman at IFIG, said: “As a central part of the industry’s efforts against ever-evolving fraud threats, we needed an innovative replacement for our e-alerts system.
“Verisk has delivered a solution that addresses all of our recurring pain points and provides a strong, future-proof foundation for IFIG members to continue their excellent, collaborative counter-fraud activities.”
Steve Paton, head of anti-fraud services EU at Verisk, said: “This new platform will enhance both user experiences and operational outcomes - and we’re already exploring how to leverage the system’s capabilities with [our] other solutions.”
