Hamilton Re appoints Chan as SVP casualty, specialty

Hamilton Re, the Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance platform for Hamilton Insurance Group, has promoted Liam Chan to the position of senior vice president, casualty & specialty.

Reporting to Tim Duffin, Chan will underwrite a broad portfolio of casualty and professional lines business, including several specialty classes.

Chan joined Hamilton Re in 2015 after eight years with Brit Insurance.

CEO Kathleen Reardon said: “This is a well-deserved promotion. Liam has been key in the development of our casualty and specialty portfolios. His commitment to Hamilton, business acumen and professional growth have impressed all of us. It’s a pleasure to have him on the team.”
