Gallagher hires aviation market specialist from MS Amlin
Gallagher has hired aviation market specialist Neil Drowley as head of policy wordings within its global aerospace practice. He joins from MS Amlin.
Based in London, Drowley will be responsible for leading Gallagher’s specialist wordings team, managing all phases of contract administration and wordings review.
Bringing more than 25 years’ experience in the London market in drafting, interpreting and negotiating complex wording documentation for all sub-classes of aviation insurance, Drowley most recently held the position of senior aviation wordings technician at MS Amlin, with responsibility for slip and wordings review.
He began his career at Lloyd’s Policy Signing Office in 1994, leaving in 1999 to join AIG as an aviation wordings technician, and spent four years at Benfield prior to joining Amlin plc in 2005.
The appointment is the fourth senior addition to Gallagher’s aerospace practice since its acquisition of JLT Aerospace in June 2019, closely following the appointments of Steve Wilkinson as head of claims, Wan Xin Lee as associate director based in Singapore, and Milorad Piper as account executive based in the US.
Peter Elson, CEO of Gallagher Aerospace, said: “As one of the most senior technical and wordings practitioners in the London market, I’m delighted that Neil is now at the helm of our UK specialist wording team. His wealth of experience, insight, and specialist knowledge will be essential as we assist our UK aviation and aerospace clients in ensuring watertight contracts.
“As one of the largest aviation brokers in the world, the aviation industry segment remains a key part of our growth trajectory, and we are committed to bringing the highest calibre talent on board. This appointment is a clear demonstration of our strategy to invest in industry-leading talent and provide our clients with unmatched capability and expertise in this dynamic sector.”
