Everest promotes from within for chief claims officer

Bermuda-based Everest Re Group has promoted Patricia McMahon to the role of senior vice president and chief claims officer of Everest Insurance.

McMahon, who joined Everest from AIG in June of 2017 as head of casualty claims, will report to Jonathan Zaffino, president and chief executive officer of Everest Insurance.

“I am thrilled to have Patricia assume the role of Chief Claims Officer and join the senior leadership team of Everest Insurance," Zaffino commented. "We are fortunate to have a deep bench of exceptional talent within our organization, and are confident Patricia will be an impactful leader in her new role.

"Patricia has a unique depth of experience in the space to match her technical skills, along with proven expertise handling complex claims. I am confident Patricia will continue to lead our claims organization toward delivering customized and responsive claims service, along with a strong focus on loss mitigation and expense management to reduce overall claims costs for our insureds.”
