Everest bolsters excess casualty team with Aspen and Conifer hires
Everest Insurance, the specialty insurance division of Bermuda-based Everest Re Group, has made two key hires from Aspen and Conifer to help expand its excess casualty retail capabilities in the Central and West territories in the US.
Erin Bouren will be leading the team’s Western territory as vice president. She comes to Everest with more than 17 years’ experience. Prior to this, she was vice president of underwriting at Conifer Holdings. She has also worked in underwriting roles at Ironshore, Arch Insurance Group, and Berkshire Hathaway.
Mike Ludy joins Everest Insurance as a director on the excess casualty team. He most recently held the role of assistant vice president, excess casualty, at Aspen Insurance. Earlier in his career, he worked as a senior underwriter at both Chubb and Canopious Group, and as a broker at Arlington/Roe & Co.
“We are excited to have Erin and Mike join the Excess Casualty team. Their combined experience in their respective regions, and significant industry knowledge, will be valuable assets to the team,” said Debbie Weiser, head of excess casualty.
Connie Germano, head of specialty casualty, added: “Erin and Mike are two key hires in the Central and West territories as we work to expand the retail capabilities and resources of our Excess Casualty team. Their proven underwriting expertise and deep client relationships will support our expansive nationwide retail casualty footprint.”
