Crawford appoints former SCOR exec to Lloyd’s unit
Crawford & Company (Canada), a provider of claims management solutions, has appointed Sandra Harbans to its Lloyd’s unit as director of operations. Harbans has previously worked for SCOR and Northbridge.
Crawford’s Lloyd’s dedicated unit provides loss adjusting and third-party administration services to the Lloyd’s market across multiple classes of business. Crawford operates five Lloyd’s hubs throughout North America located in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Brea and Philadelphia.
As operational lead for the Canadian Lloyd’s unit, Harbans will be responsible for managing the servicing capabilities while ensuring quality and efficiency in service delivery and overall client satisfaction.
Harbans has over 25 years of experience within the insurance industry, specializing in claims, finance and underwriting administration. She has held positions with reinsurer SCOR from 2000-2017. Prior to that, she was a claims analyst at Northbridge Insurance. Harbans has gained experience in managing treaty and facultative claims for business written through the Lloyd’s syndicate, as well as overseeing the claims process, conducting audits and ensuring regulatory compliance for Lloyd’s business.
