CCR Re recruits vice president

French reinsurer CCR Re has recruited Mélissa Plaxton as vice president.

Based in Toronto and reporting to Pierre Dionne SVP and chief agent, she will be responsible for the non-life reinsurance for the Canadian and Caribbean business.

Plaxton joins from Zurich Insurance Company where she was a specialist in the energy sector. Prior to the she held roles with various responsibilities at Everest Reinsurance Company, XL Insurance Company, GCAN Insurance Company and Chubb Insurance Company.

Bertrand Labilloy, chairman and CEO of CCR Re, said: “Pierre Dionne and I are
pleased to welcome Mélissa, who is going to contribute to the development of our book of business in Canada and the Caribbean. With this new hire, CCR Re continues its commitment to increase its bench strength in Toronto.”
