Aspen Re CUO Emil Issavi moves to Ryan Specialty Group; replacement revealed
Aspen Re president and chief underwriting officer and managing director of the Americas, Emil Issavi, is leaving the re/insurer to join specialty insurance services business Ryan Specialty Group (RSG).
Issavi will become a senior executive of RSG, RSG Underwriting Managers (RSGUM) and Ryan Re Underwriting Managers, an RSG affiliate company.
Issavi was appointed to lead Aspen's reinsurance business in August 2018, following the departure of CEO Thomas Lillelund.
Aspen has appointed Christian Dunleavy, currently managing director, Aspen Re and CEO and CUO of Aspen Bermuda to succeed Issavi as CUO of Aspen Re. Dunleavy will also join Aspen’s executive committee with immediate effect.
Additionally, Peter Emblin, currently managing director, London & Global head of specialty, Aspen Re, has been appointed senior managing director of Aspen Re.
