Ascot hires senior vice president, head of management liability from Liberty
Bermuda re/insurer Ascot has appointed Crystal Greene as senior vice president, head of management liability.
She will lead Ascot’s commercial D&O and related product business in the US from Atlanta. She joins Ascot with 25 years of experience, 17 with Liberty Insurance where she held a range of management positions.
The appointment complements the recent hires of Ryan Becker, executive vice president, management liability & financial institutions; and Kenny Li, senior vice president and head of financial institutions. Adding to the group is John Patterson, vice president and head of financial lines claims who joined Ascot in May.
The new group will target the wholesale distribution channel by building a diversified and balanced portfolio within the commercial and FI lines, with primary and excess placements, and with standard and E&S business.
The team is on track to launch in February 2020, with all products being written on Ascot US’s AM Best ‘A’ XIV (Stable) rated paper.
On the appointment, Ryan Becker commented: “Crystal is among the most trusted and respected underwriters in our industry. Her experience in building new businesses and developing standard and E&S strategies across all management liability lines make for a perfect match with the fresh and innovative platform we are creating within Ascot.
“The diversity and diligence in our underwriting process and in limit management will enable this group to succeed in all market conditions, near and long term.”
