Argo names new US specialty programmes leader
Specialty re/insurer Argo Group International Holdings has appointed Marsh Duncan to serve as senior vice president US specialty programmes.
Duncan replaces Andrew Borst, who served as senior vice president US specialty programmes for almost five years before he moved to serve as Argo Group’s chief administrative officer for the US.
Duncan will lead the company’s strategy to offer customised insurance products and services through specialised programme administrators.
Duncan previously served as head of digital business development at Argo Group. He served as senior vice president of Argo’s environmental business for six years and has spent more than 20 years in the insurance industry, including holding leadership positions at Chubb and Gulf Insurance Group.
Bart Schaffer and Alan Wynn, responsible for US commercial programmes and alternative risk solutions, respectively, will report directly to Duncan.
Kevin Rehnberg, president of Argo Group’s US operations, said: “Marsh has an outstanding background in the specialty insurance business. This, combined with his strong relationships and solid leadership abilities, makes him perfectly suited to lead this business.”
