Amynta Group appoints experienced QBE exec to VP MGA
Amynta Group, a group of warranty, managing general agent (MGA) and specialty risk companies, has appointed Bob James executive vice-president, Managing General Agencies.
James' experience spans a 30-year career in the insurance sector with roles in marketing, sales, operations, technology, underwriting, business segment and company management. Most recently, he held a variety of positions at QBE Insurance including global transformation director, chief operating officer for their North American Business, and president of the North American Standard Lines Property and Casualty portfolio.
He will be responsible for oversight of the $1billion premium revenue MGA segment and will report to Stuart Hollander, chief executive officer of the Amynta Group.
Hollander said: “Bob brings invaluable Property and Casualty expertise and relationships that will enable us to expand and enhance carrier opportunities. He will partner with our executive leadership team and MGA leaders to ensure effective business strategy and the maximization of underwriting results.”
James said: “Amynta has an exciting MGA business offering. I look forward to partnering with the talented leadership team to deliver best in class service to our customers.”
