AIG CFO steps aside to take medical leave of absence
American International Group’s (AIG’s) chief financial officer (CFO) will take a temporary medical leave of absence with immediate effect.
Shane Fitzsimons (Pictured) is executive vice president and CFO of AIG. As part of this role, he also heads AIG’s global sourcing and procurement services and corporate real estate functions.
Fitzsimons joined AIG in July 2019 as global head of shared services from Tata Group, where he led efforts to enable synergies across the group’s diverse set of businesses.
Mark Lyons, who previously served as AIG’s CFO, has been appointed interim CFO in addition to his role as executive vice president, global chief actuary and head of portfolio management.
