XL Catlin taps Zurich exec to extend risk solutions unit to US
Re/insurer XL Catlin has announced that it is extending its structured risk solutions underwriting capabilities to the US with the addition of Aiden Joo as senior underwriter in New York.
Joo will report to Rob Turner, XL Catlin’s global head of structured risk solutions in London.
Joo joins XL Catlin from Zurich Global Corporate where he was an underwriter and deal architect, developing a variety of insurance solutions including integrated insurance programs, risk financing and alternative risk transfer programs for large corporate clients.
Turner said: "Our clients are looking for new, innovative risk management solutions to address their changing business exposures. To meet this continued demand, we are excited to build out our capability in the US with Aiden joining us in New York.
"His experience will prove very beneficial as we develop custom-made risk transfer solutions to assist our corporate and captive clients in achieving their strategic objectives."
With offices in London, Cologne, Zurich and New York, XL Catlin’s structured risk solutions team is a global underwriting unit that provides clients with structured and customised solutions for large and complex risks.
