Miller hires former Aon exec for UK sports and entertainment team

Re/insurance broker Miller has appointed Jim Rainford in a business production role to further strengthen its sports and entertainment offering in the London insurance market.

Rainford has previously worked for Giles Insurance Brokers and Aon.

Rainford specializes in sports personal accident insurance. He will be working with James Hands and Steve Talboys to develop and retain players own benefit policies for Miller.

James Hands, head of accident and health at Miller, said: "Jim’s appointment adds a further layer of expertise to our team, which continues to grow for the benefit of our clients. His experience in the sports arena will ensure we continue to understand and find solutions for the specific risks associated with this niche sector."
