JLT Specialty boosts environmental practice with new hire in US
JLT Specialty USA, a US subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group, has expanded its environmental team with the appointment of Grant Nichols as senior vice president, based in Philadelphia.
In his new role, Nichols will be focused on brokering complex environmental insurance programs. He will be a senior broker in the JLT environmental specialty group, and will work directly with clients, colleagues and markets in the placement of insurance solutions and innovation of new products.
Nichols has over 15 years of experience in developing risk management solutions. Prior to joining JLT, he practiced environmental law internationally, where he focused on managing environmental liabilities associated with corporate and real estate transactions.
"We are thrilled that Grant has joined our environmental practice," said Mike Rice, CEO at JLT Specialty USA. "Grant’s experience and in-depth knowledge of environmental risk management will be a true asset to our team and our clients."
Greg Schilz, EVP of environmental practice at JLT Specialty USA, added: "We are happy to announce Grant’s appointment and welcome him to the JLT team. Grant’s comprehensive background in the Environmental industry will make a great addition to our team and will contribute to our team’s on-going commitment to exceed our clients’ expectations."
