Inga Beale, the chief executive of Lloyd’s, has been made a dame in the UK’s New Year’s Honours List for her services to the economy.
Beale became the first female chief executive of the market in its 328-year history in 2014.
As well as being credited for ongoing modernisation efforts at Lloyd’s Beale is a high profile campaigner for diversity in the both the re/insurance industry and business more generally.
