AXA pushes into schemes space with new appointments
AXA Insurance said on Sept. 19 that it has appointed Michelle McTeer and Brendan Clark as North and South Regional Schemes managers respectively.
The move comes as part of AXA’s push into the schemes space, which also includes the creation of AXA Growth Labs, where brokers will be offered consultancy time with the company’s in-house agency Ignition to help them develop their ideas, as well as dedicated schemes teams who will be tasked with investigation potential leads.
The appointments are the first of a raft of new hires in the schemes team, with further new arrivals set to be announced in due course.
McTeer will be based in AXA’s Leeds schemes hub. She has been at AXA for more than a decade and was operations manager for the Leeds branch before taking up her new role.
Clark will operate from the hubs in Reading, Ipswich and London. He joined AXA in January 2013 as operations manager for Reading and Maidstone and was most recently schemes development manager for Reading and Maidstone
McTeer and Clark will be responsible for scheme growth and development.
“Schemes’ business plays a vital role in the future of our commercial arm our aim is to use our expertise from the wider business to find areas of untapped potential,” said Brendan McCafferty, intermediated & direct CEO, AXA Insurance.
“Michelle and Brendan are the perfect people to drive our new proposition forward and I’m excited about the exciting new schemes opportunities their appointments will bring.”
